I first engaged with Simon in Summer 2022, but due to a combination of work and life commitments, training started in earnest in January 2023.

First and foremost, Simon took the time to understand what I was looking to achieve, the time I had available to put the work in and how I wanted to work with him. From there, Simon put together a structured plan which was tailored to my requirements and availability.

The initial goal was to complete the Mallorca 225 and to do it in a manner that would allow me to enjoy the experience, feel comfortable on the hills and to take in the scenery. The result - I loved every minute of the event, finishing the course in a time I could only have dreamt of four months earlier.

Don’t get me wrong, it took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to reach my current level of fitness, but that is why I went to Simon in the first place. To get a structure to my training and based on how comfortable I felt throughout the Mallorca 225, it was 100% the right decision.

New goals and challenges have now been set and I can’t wait to get started on the next block of training.
