You can’t be a good cyclist without basic cycling fitness and weight management being at the core. This service shows you in how to make positive changes to your training on the bike, in the gym and with your nutrition so you can get the best out of your riding and improve your body shape.

A Progressive Training Program:
You won’t get faster by cherry-picking workouts, riding too hard or slow everywhere or racing on Zwift at every opportunity. In reality, to achieve real improvements you need to train a lot smarter than that! Your specific program will save you time in training and help you focus on what’s the most important.
Strength Training Plans:
Gym or home strength training plans that will quickly build strength and power. Let me show you the best exercises, reps and sets that have been proven to be effective.
Back up, support and direction:
Each month I’ll give you constructive feedback on what you’ve done well and what you need to focus on. This will be delivered in a personal video, email or live call. You’ll also get weekly feedback in Training Peaks to keep you on track and understand your progress in training in more detail. This is a great way for us to communicate. It makes you more accountable to the training, builds confidence and motivation.
Got a question ask in the VPCC Members Only Facebook Page. It’s the quickest and only way to get all your questions answered outside the monthly coaching check-ins. Got a question about your training, equipment, nutrition or article you’ve read just ask, I am here to help.
Nutrition Advice and direction:
You’ll get weekly and monthly tasks to keep you straight with getting to your optimal weight. People are more motivated when they have a regular push in the right direction and being part of the VPCC club will improve your habits, make you take positive actions and help you move forward quickly toward your goals.
Monthly recipe E-Book with fresh ideas each month plus monthly Educational E-Book researched by highly qualified, evidence-based, trusted industry professionals who delve into topics such as emotional eating and stress, how these affect your eating habits and how to work through them.
Weekly Coaches Questions:
Training can be lonely at times and a minefield of information - both good and bad. The coach Q&A’s give you the chance to get qualified answers and to help you understand your training so you’re not guessing, making common mistakes or wasting time.
Evidence Based Educational Posts:
There is way too much misinformation and nonsense on the internet and in the media when it comes to nutrition and training. Even more importantly, it’s not focused on older people who want to train hard and to look and feel at their best.
Club VPCC is a place where you can get the latest evidence-based, ethical, honest, unbiased knowledge and understanding of training and nutrition that helps you and your specific goals. Whether that’s to train harder or to look and feel leaner in your ride kit or drop a few kilos, you’ll get the advice from me. I’m an older coach who’s been there and done it so I understand the demands of training, life and what you need to focus on as you get older, not only to ride well but to look and feel more youthful.
Fitness/Cycling Challenges:
This makes training fun, gives everyone focus, accountability and a real sense of accomplishment. The challenges are not about who was fastest or strongest. These are about you getting the best out of each challenge whether that’s learning how to pace better or descend quicker. In the accountability posts, the whole club talks about how they approached and executed these sessions so you can learn from each other’s experiences.
